Refund Policy
Deleted Messages: View & Save — an Android application by Ample Soft
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Summary. All payments for Deleted Messages: View & Save subscriptions are processed by Google Play, and refunds are handled through Google Play's refund process. You can request an automatic self-service refund within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, refunds are at Google's discretion, and Ample Soft will support reasonable refund requests where appropriate. Consumers in the European Union, United Kingdom, and certain other jurisdictions have additional statutory rights that are not affected by this policy.
1. Who handles refunds
All subscription purchases for the Deleted Messages: View & Save app are processed by Google Play Billing, not directly by Ample Soft. This means:
- Google Play receives your payment
- Google Play stores your payment method (we never see it)
- Google Play processes all refunds
- Ample Soft cannot directly issue refunds — only Google Play can
However, Ample Soft can support your refund request with Google Play. If you have a valid reason for a refund that Google has denied, please email us and we may be able to assist.
2. Automatic self-service refunds (within 48 hours)
Google Play offers an automatic self-service refund for any purchase or subscription within 48 hours of the original transaction. During this window, you can refund yourself without contacting anyone.
How to request an automatic refund
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device
- Tap your profile icon in the top right
- Tap Payments & subscriptions
- Tap Budget & history
- Find your purchase of Deleted Messages: View & Save
- Tap the purchase, then tap Refund
- Follow the on-screen instructions
If the 48-hour window has passed, you will not see the Refund option. In that case, follow the instructions in Section 3 below.
3. Refunds after 48 hours
After the 48-hour automatic window has passed, refunds are at Google's discretion. You can still request a refund, but approval depends on the circumstances of your request.
How to request a refund after 48 hours
- Visit Google Play Help — Request a refund
- Choose Subscriptions or One-time purchase
- Select the order you want refunded
- Provide a clear reason for your refund request
- Submit the request
Google typically responds within 1–4 business days. If Google denies the request and you believe the denial was unfair, email us at adiqau1@gmail.com and we will review the case and may be able to support your refund.
4. Common reasons Google approves refunds
Google is generally willing to approve refunds in the following situations (though approval is not guaranteed):
- The App does not function as advertised on your device
- You were charged for a subscription you did not intend to purchase
- Your child made an unauthorized purchase on your device
- You experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using the App
- The App caused damage to your device (rare; would require evidence)
- You were billed twice for the same subscription
- The subscription auto-renewed despite cancellation being requested before the renewal date
5. Common reasons refunds may be denied
Google may deny refund requests in the following situations:
- You have already used the App and benefited from the PRO features for an extended period
- You requested a refund repeatedly for similar purchases (Google may flag this as abuse)
- The reason given is not consistent with Google's refund guidelines
- You requested a refund well past the typical refund window without a strong reason
- You are seeking a refund for a fully consumed digital good (e.g. a completed one-time purchase that was used)
6. Subscription cancellations vs refunds
Please note the difference between cancellation and refund:
- Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund what you have already paid for the current billing period.
- Refund returns money to your payment method.
If you cancel a monthly subscription mid-month, you will continue to have PRO features for the remainder of the month you've already paid for, but you will not be charged again. You will not automatically receive a refund for the unused portion of the month.
How to cancel a subscription
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Find Deleted Messages: View & Save
- Tap Cancel subscription
You can also access this from within the App by going to Settings → Manage Subscription.
7. Free trial refunds
If our App offers a free trial of the PRO subscription:
- You will not be charged during the free trial period
- You will be charged automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends
- If you forget to cancel and are charged, you may still be eligible for a refund within 48 hours of the charge through Google's automatic refund
- Always check the trial end date in Google Play → Subscriptions
8. Statutory rights for European Union, United Kingdom, and certain other jurisdictions
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or in any other jurisdiction whose laws grant you a statutory right of withdrawal for digital purchases, those rights apply in addition to (and not in place of) the refund policy described above.
EU/UK Consumer Rights Directive — 14-day withdrawal right
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (and equivalent UK consumer law), you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a digital purchase. However, this right may be lost if:
- You expressly consented to immediate performance of the service before the 14-day period ended
- You acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once performance began
- You have already begun consuming the digital service (e.g. used PRO features)
Google Play typically obtains this consent at the point of purchase, which means the 14-day withdrawal right may be waived. Even where waived, Google Play's voluntary 48-hour refund policy and our discretionary refund support remain available.
Mandatory consumer protection law
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under your local consumer protection laws. If your local law grants you stronger refund rights than those described above, those rights apply.
9. How Ample Soft can help
While we cannot directly issue refunds, we can:
- Provide a letter of support for your Google Play refund request
- Verify your purchase against our records
- Confirm the technical issue you experienced (if applicable)
- Provide context to Google about your account history with us
To request Ample Soft's support for a refund:
Email: adiqau1@gmail.com
Subject line: Refund Support Request
Please include:
- Your Google Play order ID (starts with "GPA.")
- Date of purchase
- Subscription tier (Weekly or Monthly)
- Reason for requesting a refund
- Whether you have already submitted a request to Google Play and the outcome (if any)
We will respond within 2 business days.
10. Refund timing
If your refund is approved by Google Play:
- Credit card refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days
- Debit card refunds can take 7–10 business days, depending on your bank
- Google Play balance refunds appear almost instantly
- PayPal and other payment method refunds vary by provider
Ample Soft has no control over the timing of refund settlement — this is handled entirely by Google Play and your payment provider.
11. Disputes and chargebacks
If you are unable to obtain a refund through Google Play and believe you have a valid claim, you may have additional options:
- Contact your bank or card issuer to initiate a chargeback (note: chargebacks may result in the suspension of your Google Play account by Google)
- Contact your local consumer protection agency
- For EU residents, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) may be able to mediate
We strongly recommend trying our support email first before initiating a chargeback, as we may be able to resolve the issue more quickly.
12. Changes to this Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Google Play's policies, applicable law, or our own practices. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be brought to your attention through reasonable means.
